The sun is inviting. It becons to you and makes you want to go outside and play. Days spent splashing in pools, catching rays out on the water and relaxing on the beach are great. Unfortunately, outdoor activities can cause some extra wear and tear on the body. Lots of people protect themselves by purchasing sunscreen, lip protectants and sunglasses. But many will forget to look after two of the most important and neglected parts of the body - the feet. The American Podiatric Medical Association offers the following tips on how to protect your feet from saltwater, sand and other outdoor elements: Remember to apply sunscreen to feet, especially the tops and fronts of ankles. Don t forget to reapply after taking a dip. When out of the water, wash and dry feet thoroughly, especially between the toes, and apply a topical anti-fungal medication on any cracked or itchy skin. Its accuracy is dependent on both the equipment used and the area of the body used for the measurement. Several factors can affect the accuracy, among them recent exercise, how wrapped up or bundled a young child has been and even the environmental temperature. Rectal temperature is the most accurate of the common methods, but I do not recommend untrained people use this method with children. It can also be inaccurate since rectal temperature responds very slowly to quick changes in core body temperature. For these reasons I shall not dwell on this method. Children also frequently object to it. The best option for children under three months old is probably an axillary reading. If you want one thermometer to do all jobs, I would go for an ordinary digital thermometer and restrict the measurements to armpit and oral. The benefits of Botox injections are obvious to most of us. Reduced wrinkles, and crow s feet. The disappearance of frown lines, and other markings around the neck. But at what cost are we putting ourselves through this. Is this the only way to reduce some of our aging appearances. While unknown to some there are risks associated with receiving Botox Injections. Botox is closely related to botulism, and some of the side effects can be quite dangerous. Side effects as simple as bruising or nausea can occur but more serious events such as Dysphasia a verbal impairment or Ptosis an abnormal paralysis in various muscles near and around the injection site can occur. The other downside while not dangerous from a medical standpoint but more a financial one is that Botox injections do not last a long time.
